Although many of us do this out habit of living in this present age. However, for the believer, the Lord God has given us His Holy Spirit to live inside us, to guide us, to empower us, and to transform us. For this reason, we are commanded to Walk in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit means living in daily dependence on Him rather than on our own wisdom or willpower.

Apostle Paul contrasts walking in the Spirit with living according to the flesh. The flesh represents our old sinful nature — the part of us that wants to live independently of God. When we walk in the Spirit, we choose to follow His leading instead of our natural desires.

This is not a passive experience. It requires intentional surrender. It means asking the Holy Ghost for wisdom before making decisions, inviting Him into our conversations, relying on His strength when we feel weak or tempted, and obeying His instructions when given. As we do this consistently, the Spirit produces His fruit in our lives and gives us power to overcome sin.

Many believers struggle because they try to live the Christian life without consciously depending on the Holy Spirit. Walking in the Spirit is the secret to consistent, joyful, victorious Christian living. This week, don’t do it on your own. Walk in the Spirit.

Reflection Questions
1.In what areas of my life am I relying on my own strength instead of the Holy Spirit?
2.What would it look like for me to walk in the Spirit more intentionally this week?

Prayer
Father, I thank you for your promise of your Spirit. I need your Holy Spirit today. Please teach me to walk in step with your Holy Spirit in total surrender. Fill me afresh and help me live in daily dependence on Your power and guidance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your Action Step
Before making any decision this week, pause and ask for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom.

Have a wonderful week and remember: Live the SABBATH Way!

Many Blessings,

Pastor Jerry

This week, I would like to share some thoughts from Hebrews 4:12.

In this verse, we learn that the Bible is not just a collection of ancient writings — it is the living, active Word of Almighty God. When we open Scripture, we are not merely gaining information. We are encountering the living God who speaks directly to our hearts, renew our minds, and transforms our lives.

The writer of Hebrews tells us that God’s Word is “quick, and powerful.” Meaning, It has the ability to cut through our defenses, expose our true motives, and bring both conviction and comfort. It renews our minds, corrects our thinking, and aligns our hearts with God’s will.

Many Christians read the Bible inconsistently because they treat it as a religious obligation rather than a relationship. But when we approach the Lord God’s Word with expectancy — asking the Holy Ghost to open our eyes — it becomes a powerful tool for the transformation of our lives. It is a mirror that shows us who we really are, who we ought to become, and who we are becoming in Christ.

Start small. Start this week. Even five or ten minutes a day in the Word of God can change your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Write down what stands out. Over time, you will find that Scripture becomes a constant companion and source of strength in every situation, in every season.

Reflection Questions
1.How has God’s Word recently spoken to me or corrected me?
2.What is one practical way I can engage more deeply with Scripture this week?

Prayer
Father, please open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things from Your law. Make Your Word alive and powerful in my life and help me to live it to your glory. Amen.

Your Action Step
Choose one chapter or passage of Scripture to meditate on slowly each day this week and write down what God shows you.

Have a wonderful week and remember to Live the SABBATH Way!

Many Blessings

Pastor Jerry

Jesus used the powerful image of a vine and its branches to teach this profound reality. The branch has no life in itself. It cannot produce fruit by effort or willpower. Its only source of life, strength, and fruitfulness is the vine to which it remains connected.

In the same way, our spiritual life flows from our relationship with Jesus. When we abide in Him — remaining in close, dependent fellowship through prayer, the Word, and obedience — His life flows through us. The Holy Spirit then produces fruit that we could never manufacture on our own.

Many believers struggle with spiritual dryness because they are trying to live the Christian life apart from intimate connection with Christ. They serve, they strive, and they perform religious activities, but they are not truly abiding. Jesus is very clear: “Without me ye can do nothing.” This is not a threat — it is a loving invitation to dependence.

Abiding is not a one-time decision. It is a daily, ongoing relationship. It means waking up and consciously choosing to walk with Jesus throughout the day. It means turning to Him in moments of joy and in moments of struggle. The more we abide, the more naturally the fruit of the Spirit grows in our lives.

Reflection Questions

In what areas of my life am I trying to produce spiritual fruit in my own strength?

What would it look like for me to abide more intentionally in Christ this week?

Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the true Vine. Teach me to abide in You. Let Your life flow through me so that I may bear much fruit for Your glory. Amen.

Action Step
Set aside 15–20 minutes each day this week to simply be with Jesus — reading His Word and talking with Him without rushing.

Have a wonderful week and remember to Live the SABBATH Way!

Many Blessings,

Pastor Jerry
